Meet Carissa

My name is Carissa Cleveland and I reside in Dover, Ohio with my wonderful husband Scott and two beautiful sons, Nicholas and Andrew. I have had type one diabetes since I was one year old so taking care of my health has always been a priority in my life. I went to college to become a teacher and thoroughly enjoyed my years in the classroom. I taught in inner city Dayton, OH, Raleigh, NC and Dover, OH. In 2012, upon moving from NC to OH, I unknowingly moved into a home riddled with toxic mold. This is where my firsthand learning journey began. My health slowly deteriorated and doctors could not determine what was wrong with me. I had over 30 symptoms and was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, POTS, Lyme Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Pernicious Anemia, Mast Cell Activation Disorder, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, thyroid and adrenal issues, hormonal imbalances, and the list goes on. At the same time, my oldest son, Nick, who lived in this home from ages 1-5 years old, was experiencing symptoms of autism, debilitating anxiety, sensory processing issues, and PANS/PANDAS. My youngest son, Andrew, had constant upper respiratory congestion, sensory issues, and became allergic to almost every food. During this trying time, I became bedbound, but because I was not getting answers from conventional medicine doctors, I began reading and researching on my own. I switched to holistic medicine doctors and learned more, although no one could point to the toxic mold in my home being the culprit for my failing health. The more I didn’t get answers, the harder I researched. Looking back, I know this happened for a reason as it was preparing me for something big- The Healing Haven, LLC! There are no coincidences, at least in my book. I was able to fully heal from my diagnoses, so were my sons, and so can you. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, and it is amazing what can occur when you assist its complex intricacies.  I am here to help you heal, too! For years I have been coaching others out of the goodness of my heart, and I have witnessed how I’ve been able to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s my goal to reach more people and help them understand how they can assist their body’s functioning through the use of herbs, homeopathy, detox, energetic and sound frequencies, a clean environment, and removal of emotional baggage and trapped emotions. Our bodies become sick in many ways, and we often forget about the emotional and spiritual aspects of health and well-being. Energy healing has been instrumental in my family’s recovery, and this is what persuaded me to become a Certified Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code Practitioner. It’s this combination of healing that truly makes all the difference. I am living proof that our bodies can and will heal.
